Depicted Baroque portal with wooden door, decorated by statues of St. John of Nepomuk with angels, is the key architectural element of front facade of the St. John of Nepomuk Chapel (kaple Sv. Jana Nepomuckého) at St. George Basilica (Bazilika Sv. Jirí) in Prague Castle.
The simple Baroque chapel of rectangular ground plan was designed by one of leading architects of Baroque Bohemia František Maxmilián Kanka and built by the St. Vitus Chapter' master builder Filip Spannbrucker. The construction works were funded by Chapter's dean Jan Ludvík Steyer. The foundation-stone was laid on June 11, 1717 and the chapel was consecrated by St. Vitus canon Jan Rudolf Špork on May 10, 1722. The main fresco in chapel' dome represents glorification of St. John of Nepomuk. The front facade is decorated by portal with statues of St. John of Nepomuk and angels by anther master of Baroque art in Bohemia - Ferdinand Maxmilián Brokoff.
