Long Description:
Richard Bankes Harraden was the son of Richard Haraden, an artist who had exhibited at the Royal Academy. He was born c 1778. His early years were spent in Paris and London, and later Cambridge. He was a founder of the Society of British Artists and exhibited at the society.
