Historie ústavu se datuje už od roku 1898, kdy budovu tehdejšího Vodolécebného ústavu dali postavit dr.Josef Wieser a Jan Horský. Od té doby se zacíná psát dlouhá historie lázenství a rehabilitacní péce v Brandýse nad Orlicí. V období 1. republiky zde byly známé lázne, posléze tu byli léceni detští pacienti s ortopedickými vadami a nyní se zde nejmodernejšími metodami rehabilitují predevším dospelí pacienti.
