Long Description:

County of marker: Chariton County
Location of Marker: N. Park St., between Hill St. & Finnell Dr., Keytesville
Marker erected by The Friends of Keytesville, Inc

This authentic outhouse (Privy) was located on the farm of W.R. Hechler of Dalton, Missouri, and was donated to the Friends of Keytesville, Inc. for display by Ron and Susie Cox of Dalton, Missouri

Why Is This Privy Here?:
This city block is a historic collection of building from the town past.

History is listed above in long description

If No Picture of Inside Explain Here:
The "Moon" is an addition not a hole. No opening to take a picture, and no one from the historic society would come out and unlock. It was late on a Sunday evening. I ahve provided the dates and life of this outhouse, if not enough to prove it is not modern, then so be it. It is locked to keep the local kids out of it.
