Long Description:
Although people usually refer to the place as Island of Farol, it's not really an island, more like an islet and anyway, the same geographical unit is named Island of Culatra in its easternmost end.
There are ferries departing from Faro and from Olhão, more frequently during the Summer, but still all year long.
Ilha do Farol is a popular Summer destination for locals and tourists which gets a fair number of visitors during the season pick, thanks to its splendid beaches.
