Long Description:
This survey marker is located on the top of a fantastic peak overlooking the city of Dunedin. It takes around 30 minutes each way from the nearest car park and is quite easy to find given the surrounding vegetation is quite low.

According to Land Information New Zealand:

Bronze plaque (L & S Dept) in top of concrete pillar 0.27 m dia and 1.16 m above ground level. Concrete pillar constructed above old 2 inch tube. Original height of this station 2186 ft (W T Neil, 1903), adopted as origin of Otago trig heights.29-Oct-1999: Last maintained: 14-Apr-1996
