This historical marker is located at the entrance of the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. The bronze plaque reads as follows:

“Birthplace of Herbert Hoover. First president of the United States born west of the Mississippi River. Marked by Pilgrim Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.”
