Long Description:
The Jamestown Friends Meeting House, dates back to about 1786. It is a one story timber-framhed structure on a fieldstone foundation. In accordance with Quaker practise there are two entries.

This small structure, in its simplicity, exemplifies the Quakers building practises in early settlement in America. The Society of Friends has largely disappeared in this area, it was once an important religious body and figured prominently into the local socieity. Althought the Quakers have declined in population, this house is still in use by the Quakers.

Due to its simpicity in design and execution, it has meet the test of time. It is also a monument to the Quaker philosphy.
