Long Description:
"Schloss Berge stands on the south side of a hill in that part of the city of Gelsenkirchen, which is called Gelsenkirchen-Buer. It was built as a water castle for the protection of the part of town called Erle, and was till 1433 headquarters of the family of Berge. Changed in the first half of the 16th century to a castle, the mansion presents itself in the style of the late baroque in the threshold to the classicism. Today it is used as a hotel restaurant."
