Quick Description: The Bonneville Lock is located immediately to the east of the Fish Hatchery and the south end of Bonneville Dam on the north side of Interstate Highway 84 at Exit 40 just west of Cascade Locks, Oregon.

Long Description:
The Bonneville Lock was constructed to allow shipping traffic and pleasure craft to bypass the barrier of Bonneville Dam and Powerhouse. The older, smaller lock, constructed in 1937 still exists but all traffic now uses the larger, newer lock, completed in 1993.
