Long Description:
Callala Beach is ideal for families as being within Jervis Bay the waves are small & the adjacent waters shallow. Beach goers can swim, sunbath, play beach cricket or volleyball, fish, watch dolphins or go for a long walk.
Motor vehicles are not allowed on the beach & dogs are restricted to certain areas which are clearly sign posted. Nudism is not allowed. The main entrance to the beach is at the co-ordinates listed above & there are toilets, a grassed picnic area & plenty of parking here. You can buy an ice cream at the nearby shopping centre.
There are no handicap facilities as the beach is lined with dunes & the access tracks are sandy. There are no lifeguards on duty. You need to bring your own chairs, umbrella, esky etc. The beach is open all year round & there are no access fees.
On a warm Spring day like today you can have the entire beach to yourself.
