This unique three pine timber arch bridge attracts the attention of those traveling down Rt. 565. It serves as both a vehicle bridge and a pedestrian bridge on the west side. A sign tells the history and facts of this popular landmark:

Constructed over the Partridge River

First of its kind in the state of Minnesota

Owned by the residents of St. Louis County

Designed by Erickson Engineering Company from Minneapolis, MN

Construction by Swingen Construction Company from Grand Forks, ND

Paid for with Federal Forest Highway Demonstration Funds

Winner of the 1997 American Public Works Association Public Works of the Year Award of Merit

Open to traffic on July 24, 1996
