Long Description:
Locomotive No. 1000 was the first diesel/electric locomotive to be purchased by the Union Pacific Railroad. It went on to serve multiple other railroads in various locations before coming back to the Union Pacific in 1982. After being retired it spent some time in Heber City, Utah before being acquired by the Nevada State Railroad Museum in 1993.
