Water survey markers are used to give a precise location and altitude reference for hydrographic studies of water bodies throughout Canada. On Hogg Creek water flow and water level are measured and transmitted to Environment Canada on an almost real time basis.

This marker is located on the North east corner of the bridge crossing the creek on Granny Smith sideroad near Victoria Harbour, Ontario.

Of note is that the correct name of the creek is Hogg Creek not Hog as shown on the Water Survey site.
