Another grade 2 listed structure. In very good condition. Bushes growing out of stonework. (visit link)
All three were for sale in 1821. Document held at Barrow Records Office.

Copy case by N C Tindal, York assizes re limestone on Scales Haggs and lime kilns used to burn lime for sale, 5 April 1821, giving descent of manor from Crown to Michael Knott esq., who has sub-let it to the Braddyll family BD HJ 191/7 1821

In 1850 ish the Furness Railway was connected to the main line, effectively rendering these worthless.
