Long Description:
The Ironwood Theater was built in 1928 by architect Albert Nelson. The intial cost of the theater was $160,000 which is the equivilant of over 2 milling dollars in today's value.

Vaudeville and silent movies were the marquee acts during the 1920's, 30's and through the Great Depression.

In the 1960's it was sold and first run movies were the shows. The theater closed in 1982.

In 1982 the theater owner gave the historic theater to the Ironwood Development group. A volunteer organization was formed and remodeling and renovations to the theater began. They are still continuing today.

The theater boasts a mural ceiling, Barton organ and is steeped in history. Today the venue features musical concerts, stage shows and much more.
