Long Description:
Puig Major is the highest point on the island Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands. It is part of the Tramuntaña mountains in the west of the island. The summit reaches 1447 meters. A big military zone around the top keeps everyone away from the highest point of the island. The road to the top is closed for traffic and walking up is also forbidden. From the C710 road the mountain can be viewed from different sides.
