Quick Description: Humphreys Peak is the highest point in Arizona. Part of the San Francisco Peaks (the remnant of an extinct volcano), it is the highest feature for many miles in all directions and is a major landmark in northern Arizona.

Long Description:
Humphreys Peak rises to 12,637 feet above sea level. It is the highest peak in the San Francisco Peaks, a group of mountains comprised of the massif of an extinct volcano. A 4.5 mile long hiking trail leads to the top. From the top, one can see the Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert on a clear day.
