Long Description:
Die Burg Winnenthal ist die älteste Wasserburg des Niederrheins. Sie wurde Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts als Grafengut und Witwensitz von Herzog Adolf I. von Kleve erbaut. Im Jahr 1822 wurde der Burg ein Hof vorgelagert und der Torturm errichtet.
..heute wird die Burg als Seniorenresidenz genutzt.


The castle is the oldest Wasserburg in the Lower Rhine. It was in the end of the 14th Century as a dower Grafengut and built by Duke Adolf I of Cleves. In 1822 the castle was preceded by a courtyard and built the gate tower.
..today the Castle is used as a retirement home.
