Long Description:
Wentworth Garden Centre is a family run independent garden centre. It is on land that was originally part of the estate of the Fitzwilliam-Wentworth family called Wentworth Woodhouse. The rest of the estate has also been sold into private hands.

Part of the site contains the main retail garden centre. Access th that part of the garden centre is free. However there is also a large formal garden and maze. Admission charges used to be on a voluntary donation basis but a small charge is now levied. As at 16th April 2011 the charges were
Adults – £1.50
Children (under 3's free) – 75p
Senior Citizens – 75p
Season Tickets (12 months) – £15.00

The formal garden is part of a large walled garden that was first laid out in 1786. The fountain is next to the rock garden.
