Long Description:

CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, NE. corner of Thirteenth and Franklin Sts., is a red-brick Gothic-Revival chapel with an octagonal tower, built in 1848 and consecrated in 1850. The architect is unknown, but he may have been the Reverend A. D. Corbyn, then pastor of Christ Church in Boonville. The interior is finished in black walnut, and the ceiling is ornamented with a Gothic truss-arch. The few original "painted glass" windows remaining in the building are perhaps the oldest of this type in the State. - Missouri: A Guide to the "Show Me" State, Tour 2, pg. 374.

The building continues to serve as Christ Episcopal Church.  The building remains basically unchanged since the Guide was written except for the addition of a parish hall on the north side of the church.  The building is well maintained and is in very good condition.  The church has services each Sunday at 10 am.
