Long Description:
The logo on the flag is also found on the website, all street signs, some manhole covers, city vehicles, Police, Fire and other Emergency services. I don't remember when it was adopted, but I do remember the outcry when sticker with the logo were added to existing street signs. Vocal citizens were concerned about the cost. But the stickers were reflective and actually helped both visitors and emergency services find streets in the dark.
Further research discovered that the artist felt the design represented "Synergy of Location; Commitment to Community".
