Long Description:
Smith forge came from the Donaldson Plantation. It was dismantled and rebuilt in the tractor barn to save it from destruction. Not a true "shop", but rather a re-creation of the way a working plantation or farm would have been serviced by a Smith.
The Cajun Village is a recreation with actual period buildings, brought to location by the property owner. They were restored and are now used as Gift and antique shops, coffee house, wine, art and pottery shops. The tractor barn houses many tractors, tools and this Blacksmith area. Also on property is an alligator pond with 2 live gatorsto enjoy!
Operating Status: Festival Permanent Structure
