Albert Woolson was a Civil War Drummer Boy and died in Duluth, MN in 1956 and is the Civil War's last authenticated survivor.

The plaque reads:

This statue sits outside of the historic Union Depot in downtown Duluth. The Depot is also home to the St. Louis County Historical Society, Children's Museum and several others.
