"Established in 2004 by World War II veteran Dal Estes as a living, hands-on museum to recognize the sacrifices and service of U. S. military veterans from Livingston County and central Illinois, to educate schools, civic groups and the general population about the history of local veterans from World War I to the present conflicts, and is staffed by volunteer veterans and is funded and supported by donations from visitors and local businesses.
Hours of operation are 10 AM to 4 PM Tuesday-Saturday, 12 PM to 4 PM Sunday, closed Mondays. Admission is free"
