Long Description:From Wikipedia: "White Rock is a town in Roberts County, South Dakota, United States, along the Bois de Sioux River. The population was 18 at the 2000 census. White Rock is the most northeastern community in South Dakota, being along the Minnesota border and one mile south of North Dakota."

 Marker Text: A frontier town, established in 1884, in the heart of a fertile grain growing area, its business community consisted of seven grain elevators, three hotels, four saloons, and two banks. It had a large department store, several mercantile stores, two lumber yards, two drug stores, two churches and a twelve grade school system. The top population was 600 people.
