Long Description:
"DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 AT PALO ALTO. AT PALO ALTO, AT THE INTERSECTION OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE AND COWPER STREET, AT THE PRESIDENT HOTEL, SET VERTICALLY IN THE NORTHWEST CONCRETE WALL, 1.4 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE, AND 3.7 FEET ABOVE THE SIDEWALK."

The benchmark is at the entrance to the Hotel President on University Ave.
