Long Description:
The city was founded in 1871, and this bandshell is in the park right next to downtown on land the city founder donated, so there has probably been music here for over 100 years. No date could be found on the shell itself, but it looks like the style of the 1940's. The park is frequented by high schoolers on weekdays, and the public all year round. Summer concerts are free to the public.
