Long Description:
The OCCC consists of the North Concourse, the South Concourse, and the West Concourse. In 2004, OCCC acted as a staging area for relief operations following Hurricane Charley, and Frances and Jeanne thereafter. Owned and operated by Orange County Government, all funding for operational and expansion costs are generated by a tourism and resort tax, not local tax dollars.
The OCCC currently ranks as the second largest convention center in the United States. The center offers 7 million ft of total space of which over 2.2 million ft is exhibition space.
