Long Description:
Seathwaite Tarn was dammed to create a reservoir for drinking water for the town of Barrow in Furness Cumbria.
The Tarn is in a beautiful location amidst the mountains of The Lake District.
A service road from the Duddon Valley allows access for walkers only to the dam and surrounding fells.
The dam was built in the 1930's.
