Long Description:
Oldest active cemetery in St. Francis County. Begun about 1854 as a family cemetery by the Mallorys, whose home was a short distance north. Immediately north was the early town of Mt. Vernon. Later other families were permitted to use the Cemetery. Descendants of the original family are active in the management of the Cemetery today.
