Long Description:
This is one big pot-hole or basin. It is located in Franconia National Forest off RT 93 in NH. There are large signs clearly stating , "The Basin" ample parking is provided and the Basin is a short easy hike in. There are no fees required to view this great geological feature. The giant hole was formed by the constant swirling water. What's interesting is the water falls from above and swirls around, it is very clear and you can see right to the bottom. This entire area was once under a mile of glacier ice. This whole area is rich in some amazing geological features. Go and enjoy the day and pack a lunch.
