The Jules Verne Train was featured in "Back to the Future, Part III." Universal Pictures, 1980. In the closing scene of the "Back to the Future" Trilogy, Doc Brown has returned from 1885 to this time machine, built from a steam engine.

The body of the Jules Verne Train is an actual steam locomotive however the attachments are painted wood and metal. The Jules Verne Train was located next to the "Back to the Future" ride.
