Long Description:
Sac Indians, led by Black Hawk, came through here along the lake while fleeing the US Military on July 21, 1832.

Marker is located in the parking lot of Indian Lake County Park (Dane County) on Hwy 19, about 1 Mile East of Marxville.

If you are a geocacher, there is a cache within this park, not too far outside the off-leash area. The coordinates are also another waymark. Get two visits and one cache for the price of one :)
