Here the Way of St. James connects Muxia to Finisterra along a dirt road crossing an asphalt road. This way marker has been placed on the east side of the dirt road, just a few metres south of the paved road. Neither road appears to have a name sign. The marker is a half kilometre north of a small community named Castrexe. Castrexe is a very old village with some newer buildings and some that are many centuries old.
The way marker is a granite plinth about one metre tall with ceramic tile forming the way of St. James symbol in a carved recess in the stone. Below there is another carved recess in which a metal plate had been installed containing distance information, but has been stolen. The plate may have read something like this:
Finistera - 8 km. »
« Muxia - 24 km.
