Long Description:
BIRTHPLACE CABIN SITE On a flat grassy knoll above the spring on the Carver Branch is the site of the cabin in which George Washington Carver was born. The location was confirmed by archeological investigations, is marked by a park sign, and is the second stop along the "Boy Carver Nature Trail.

The site is now marked with a informational sign and a short walled mockup of where the cabin was located. The mockup helps visitors understand how small the single room cabin was.
