Long Description:
Three miles west. Reputedly scene of one of last massacres in Ky. McClures and Kennedys lived on hills above Bullock Pen Creek and the Bran family occupied cabin on creek at foot of hills. Around 1805, party of Indians burned the Bran home after scalping parents and children. All died except the mother, who crawled to the Kennedy house. She eventually recovered.
