Long Description:
The Fish Store is a combination restaurant and fishmonger. What makes this restaurant unique is that because it's also a licensed processing plant, they can legally purchase seafood directly from the fishermen at the dock. Most of their seafood travels only 12 feet across the dock from the vessel to the store, never reaching the shore. All of their seafood comes from local waters and is harvested using methods defined by Ocean Wise, which promotes sustainable seafood consumption.

They serve a number of fish products, including fish soup, fish & chips, steamed seafood, fish tacos, and fish wraps.

The Fish Store has no indoor seating, but there are picnic tables on the dock where you can sit. If you're so inclined, you can also buy a small bag of fish and feed it to the very friendly harbour seals that hang around this spot, including one in particular named Sammy. Sammy was released into the wild when the Victoria Aquarium closed, and he now performs tricks for tourists in return for fish.
