Long Description:The entrance to
Taprock Northwest Grill contains some beautiful relief work done in bronze. The whole property of this restaurant is full of sculptures and murals of forest animals to include bear, fox, elk, mountain lion, raccoon and a few other creatures. The entrance doors contain a scene of a waterfall with numerous bears fishing for salmon. In fact, the door handles are made of bronze salmon. There are two panels on either side of the doors containing tall, redwood trees and the area above the doors contains a tree branch with pine needles and pine cones. It all makes for a very natural setting.
The area around Taprock is known as 'Evergreen Park' and the nearby Evergreen Bank located in the same parking lot has a website that contains a page devoted to this park and mentions these bronze doors as being created by Peter and Lindi Sedlow. Artist Bob Eding created most all the other sculptures and murals on the property. You can visit the park website here.
