Long Description:This cemetery is a few yards east of the county line for Newton and Lawrence County on the Lawrence County side. The road up to the cemetery is a bit rugged. Look for the entrance at:

According to FindAGrave, at the time of this Waymark posting there were 298 interments at Dry Valley Cemetery, and the latest was in 2014. Although there were some graves without dates, the oldest recorded grave is from 1850.
Of the historic settlement of Dry Valley, there remains this cemetery, and the church and school, both a mile east of the cemetery.
