It's as good a beach as any at this time of the year and, besides, it has a gazebo. It's a small to medium sized gazebo, with a wavy fascia on the wooden roof and a half dozen steel posts to hold it off the concrete pad below. There's a sign inside which indicates that we could, if we chose to, rent this gazebo for a beach party, or even just to keep everyone else out of our gazebo.
There's a concession stand nearby and it's just a quick dash across the lawn and the sand to the water. Our gazebo is on the eastern end of the beach, right where Washington Avenue meets Lakeside Boulevard.
The wind's coming up and it's getting chilly, as it's November after all - I think I'll go inside now.
