Long Description:
The Purcell Register was established by Ed P. Ingle on November 23, 1887. It has operated continuously since that day, and been located at its present location, (a former theater), for over 60 years. It is a weekly, published on Thursdays, and is the third largest weekly in Oklahoma.

The offices are open Mon-Fri from 8-5. The subscription rates are $29 for residents of McClain, Cleveland and Garvin counties; $39 for counties in Oklahoma outside the three; and $54 out-of-state. The paper is also online.

The one-story building has a tall stone facade from its earlier days as a theater. Permastone bricks have been added on the front, with a single aluminum and glass door and two large sidelights. A green cloth awning above the entrance reads "The Purcell Register".
