Long Description:
This historic Catholic Church, St. Ferdinand Church, is located in Ferdinand, IN. The front of the church door face out to the main intersection in the town at Main St and Kundek St. (named for the Father that invited others to come to the town in 1840).

The church was founded in 1840 when the town of Ferdinand was started. Settlers came at the urging of Father Kundek, several came and some stayed to help start the town and the church.

The current church building was erected in 1848 with several renovations and improvements done through the years, yet the heart of the church built over 160 years ago still stands.
