The historical marker on this building at Pikk 45 provides information in both Estonian and English, as follows:
Pikk tn. 45 / Vaimu tn. 2, algselt kõrge otsaviilu, katusealuste laokorruste ja
hilisgootikast pärineva laheruumilise põhiplaaniga tüüpiline jõuka linnakodaniku
elamu. Rae dokumentides juba 1358. aasta mainitud. 15.+17. sajandil laiendatud ja
hiljem ümberehitatud hoones on säilinud arvukalt kunstiväärtuslikke originaaldetaile.
45 Pikk Street / 2 Vaimu Street, originally with acute front gable, depot storeys in the
attic and a two-room basic plan, a typical Late-Gothic dwelling of a well-off burgher.
In the building, first mentioned in the Town Hall documents in 1358, enlarged in the
15th - 17th centuries and later rebuilt, a lot of original details of virtue have preserved.
