"Diseñado por el arquitecto británico Richard Rogers, en colaboración con Alonso Balaguer-Arquitectos Asociados, el Complejo Comercial Arenas de Barcelona se emplaza en un punto estratégico de la ciudad de Barcelona, en frente de la Plaza España y a los pies de Montjuïc, la montaña de los museos, entre las calles Tarragona, Diputación, Gran Vía y Llançà. Concebido a través de grandes estructuras de acero, hormigón armado, madera, piedras naturales y muchísimo vidrio con el objetivo de aprovechar al máximo la luz natural y las espléndidas vistas. Urbanísticamente, Arenas de Barcelona funciona como el engranaje central del eje formado por el Palacio Nacional, edificio representativo de La Exposición Internacional de 1929 y sede del Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña, Feria de Barcelona, la Avenida María Cristina, la Plaza España, el parque de l’Escorxador, la calle Tarragona y la Estación de Sants. Una conexión directa a dos líneas de metro y a los Ferrocarriles Catalanes lo convierte en un punto de muy fácil acceso."

Conceived through large steel structures, concrete, wood, natural stone and glass a lot in order to maximize natural light and splendid views. Urbanistically, Arenas de Barcelona serves as the central gear shaft formed by the National Palace building representative of the International Exhibition of 1929 and home to the National Art Museum of Catalonia, Fira de Barcelona, Avenida Maria Cristina, Plaza Spain, Parque de L'Abattoir, Tarragona street and Sants station. A direct connection to two subway lines and the Catalan Railways makes it an easy access point."
