Long Description:
The original photo was taken in 1901, shortly after the courthouse was completed. The view is of the courthouse, looking westerly over the town, from the corner of Monte Cristo Street and Columbia Avenue. It has been in continuous use as the courthouse for 111 years and is still in excellent condition.

Notice the relative lack of trees on the hillsides in the 1901 photo. They were cut to provide the lumber to build the town.
Year photo was taken: 1901
