Long Description:
This Windmill was in a bad condition,After being struck by lightning in 1943 it ceased to be a working mill has been restored several times the last restoration after the sails where damaged in a gale restored again in the early 2000's now part of the National Trust Properties .and is now a Grade II listed building.
A Imposing five-storey drainage windpump
This striking windpump provides stunning views over the coast and broadland landscape.
Set within the Broads National Park, the Horsey estate is an internationally important site for wildlife and offers a great spot for birdwatching and wintering wildfowl.
A small shop and refreshments can also be found close to the windpump.
Horsey Estate is managed by the Buxton family, from whom it was acquired.
