Long Description:
It is not often that you are afforded a decent view from a State Survey Marker but this is an exception.

The marker is near the confluence of Gibson Creek & Kangaroo River & is affixed to the natural feature which attracts so many to this area - Flat Rock. Waters from Gibson Creek flow over flat rocks to join the Kangaroo River. These flat rocks extend slightly upstream of the river so that it too flows over this natural feature.

Up stream of the marker you can see Gibson Creek flowing through large boulders & thick rainforest & if you venture further, you will stand below Minnie Ha Ha Falls. Downstream of the marker the clear waters of the creek find their way to the river.

You can park above the causeway or on the bed of Gibson Creek. It is best not to drive over the causeway as the road ends & there is no where to turn around.

This is an ideal picnic spot on a hot Summer's day so pack a basket & bring the kids but get in early.
State/Territory: NSW
