Long Description:
This was once the home of First Presbyterian Church starting in 1871, and one of its offshoots for many years over the years. From Downtown Presbyterian Churches website (visit link)
"Today, the First Church building is now the home of the Central Church of Christ, an African-American congregation."

Very true, and it is co-pastored by Franklin D Florence, and his son Clifford A Florence, Sr.

This building will also be listeed under National Register of Historic Buildings, but it deserves our attention as an active congregation.
