Quick Description: This fountain is fed by a natural thermal spring in the spa town of Matlock Bath.
Location: East Midlands, United Kingdom

Waymark Code: WMCKET
Views: 2
Long Description:
Warm springs were first discovered here in 1698, and during Victorian times the town became a popular tourist attraction especially after the arrival of the railways.
These days the town is not as popular as a spa town, but it continues to be a popular tourist destination.
This fountain is in the middle of small pond which is used to hold a stock of large gold fish. Originally the pond was used to wash the carriages and horses from the Old Bath spa hotel.
Across the road is a pub appropriately called the Fishpond.

Visit Instructions:
Only one log per location per person (meaning multiple visits -> multiple logged visits -> OK!). You should log your own waymarked fountains as well. After all, you did in fact visit the area to which you marked to way.
Even if an individual waymark owner has a requirement indicating a photo is required, it is not. If there is any dispute, contact the category management group for clarification.
